STARKVILLE, Miss. - Applications are now being accepted to attend this year's Mississippi State summer basketball camp, which will be directed by first-year coach Rick Ray.

Camp dates are set for June 3-6, and Coach Ray, his assistants and players will all be on hand. Campers will be taught fundamentals of basketball and techniques for improved play for those becoming or already are serious about basketball.

In addition to instruction, there will be league play built around friendly competition. All games and instruction will take place at the Sanderson Center, the Mize Pavilion and Humphrey Coliseum.

Three different types of camps are being offered - overnight, commuter and day.

The overnight camp has a $300 tuition fee and includes lodging and meals. Commuter camp is $250 and runs from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. each day, while the day camp is $175 and is from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. The commuter campers will receive two meals each day (lunch and dinner). All campers receive a free T-shirt and a basketball.

A team camp for high school boys is also being offered May 31-June 2 and is $160 per kid.
