All-SEC Banners To Be Unveiled Saturday At Alumni Volleyball Match

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Former Bulldog players will team with current MSU volleyball players Saturday in the 2012 Mississippi State alumni volleyball match set for an 11 a.m. first serve at the Newell-Grissom Building. The best two-of-three sets match is open to the public with no charge for admission and is part of a full Saturday slate of activities connected with MSU's annual spring homecoming, Super Bulldog Weekend presented by Regions Bank.

"We always enjoy having our former players back on campus and look forward to a competitive volleyball match Saturday," said MSU head volleyball coach Jenny Hazelwood. "We're also excited about unveiling our new All-SEC banners."

Mississippi State's most recent All-SEC honorees, middle blocker Ashley Newsome from Florence, Ala., and outside hitter Caitlin Rance of Kingwood, Texas are featured on the new banners. Newsome earned all-conference honors in 2010 while Rance joined the league's elite group in 2011.
