STARKVILLE, Miss. - Tuesday night's scheduled Mississippi State-Mississippi Valley State baseball game at Dudy Noble Field has been cancelled due to weather concerns as well as travel and financial considerations.

It has been rescheduled as a doubleheader (two seven-inning games) May 8 at 4 p.m. that also replaces a Mar. 21 rainout against Alabama A&M on the MSU schedule.

Holders of MSU baseball season tickets are advised to retain today's original MSU-Mississippi Valley State game ticket for admission at the May 8 twinbill.

Mississippi State (18-11, 3-6 SEC) resumes SEC competition this weekend at Dudy Noble Field, testing 2011 College World Series participant and defending SEC tri-champion Vanderbilt (11-17/3-6 SEC) in a three-game Easter weekend series. Weekend game times are set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Dudy Noble Field gates and ticket windows open two hours prior to each game.
