STARKVILLE, Miss. - Persistent rainfall in the Starkville area Wednesday evening forced the cancellation of the Mississippi State-Alabama A&M baseball game at Dudy Noble Field.

The Bulldogs (15-7, 1-2 SEC) open their 2012 SEC home schedule Friday, taking on the third-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks (19-2, 3-0 SEC) at 6:30 p.m. The series continues Saturday with a 2 p.m. game and concludes Sunday with 12 p.m. game televised by SportSouth.

It's the first rainout of the year for Mississippi State.
