Baseball Bulldogs Add Seven TV Dates
MSU, previously tabbed for an April 19 home appearance against Tennessee on ESPNU's Thursday night SEC Game of the Week package, will open and close the FOX/SportSouth SEC baseball television package. State's March 25 series-ending Sunday matchup against defending SEC West champion Arkansas and the Friday MSU-Kentucky game, both at Dudy Noble Field, will be televised on SportSouth. SportSouth will also broadcast the first two games of the State-Ole Miss rivalry April 27-28 in Starkville.
Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) includes three Mississippi State games among its 20-game lineup of SEC baseball telecasts. The March 17 MSU-LSU matchup in Baton Rouge, La., will be televised as part of a unique SEC baseball Saturday TV tripleheader on CSS. Comcast will also televise the sixth annual State-Ole Miss Governor's Cup matchup April 17 at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Miss., as well as the April 29 MSU-Ole Miss series finale at Dudy Noble Field.
Both ESPNU and Comcast have also set aside late-season dates for wildcard games, May 11 (CSS) and May 19 (ESPNU).
Additional TV dates for games outside the SEC's package of games broadcast by television partners ESPN, FOX/SportSouth and Comcast, could also be announced.
