2014: Appeared in four games out of the bullpen before undergoing season-ending surgery • Tallied a 2.25 ERA with two saves in eight innings of relief, striking out 12 and walking two • Notched his second career save Feb. 26 vs. Mount St. Mary’s thanks to six K’s and a career high 3.1 innings of relief (27 of 35 pitches were for strikes) • Earned his first career save Feb. 22 in the opening game of a doubleheader vs. Holy Cross, recording his most strikeouts in a relief role with five.

2012: Took the mound in seven games, drawing game-opening duty in six of those appearances • Compiled a 2-1 record with a 4.64 ERA in 21.1 innings • Made his collegiate debut and earned his first career win Feb. 26 against Mississippi Valley State • Registered eight strikeouts over seven innings, both season-highs • Worked three innings as the starter and yielded four runs in absorbing the loss March 14 at Southeastern Louisiana • Led a split MSU pitching crew and earned his second win while striking out six of the nine batters he faced over three innings March 27 against Alcorn State • Made his SEC debut April 7 vs. Vanderbilt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year standout pitcher at Amory High School • Coached by Chad Williams • Earned all-state honors in 2011 after posting a 12-1 record with a save and a remarkable 0.41 ERA • Piled up 147 strikeouts and walked only 11 over 85.1 innings of mound duty as a senior • Also swung the bat at a .420 clip with 28 RBIs and five home runs • Earned all-state, all-division and Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal Player of the Year honors in 2010 with a 13-1 record, a save and an 0.72 ERA • Helped guide the Panthers to the 2010 4A state championship series • Finished the 2010 campaign with 142 strikeouts in 96.2 innings while leading AHS at the plate with a .435 batting average, five home runs and 35 RBIs • Voted team MVP in 2010 and 2011 and AHS Pitcher of the Year in 2009 and 2011 • MVP of the 2011 Crossroads Diamond Club All-Star Game in Pearl, Miss. • Played summer league baseball alongside MSU teammate Brandon Woodruff on the state championship and national runner-up Tupelo 49ers, coached by Kirk Presley • Joined Woodruff on the ALWS All-Tournament Team • Hails from the high school program that produced teammate Zack Randolph, MSU associate head coach Butch Thompson and former Bulldog and current Texas Rangers’ first baseman Mitch Moreland.
