White Advances In Qualifiers at USA F29 Futures

NICEVILLE, Fla. - In the opening round of the qualifying draw Mississippi State sophomore Zach White advanced to the second round at the USA F29 Futures on Friday.

Facing a tough opponent in Emil Svensson, White took a challenging opening set 7-6(5). However, White breezed through the second taking the match 7-6(5), 6-2. White will take on fifth-seeded Ruben Gonzales in the second round on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Also competing for State in the second round of qualifiers tomorrow are George Coupland and James Chaudry. After receiving first round byes, they will face Casper Steenkamp and Marvin Rolle respectively.

The second round of qualifying action begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET.
