STARKVILLE, Miss. - Per Nilsson, the head coach of the Mississippi State men's tennis team announced the signing of Trey Seymour, of Greenville, Miss.

Seymour preps at Washington School and is a letterwinner in tennis, football, basketball and soccer. Currently Seymour stands at 249th nationally, according to tennisrecruiting.net, but has been ranked as high as 60th.

"We are really excited about Trey (Seymour) joining the team. We're excited to see how he improves now that he will be strictly focusing on tennis," said Nilsson. "Trey has been competing in football, basketball and soccer on top of tennis and yet he's still been able to compete on a high level, so it will be interesting to see what he is capable of once he focuses on one sport. I also think he'll be joining a great group of guys we already have here at Mississippi State and fit in nicely with the team."

Seymour will graduate from Washington School in May 2010, and enroll at Mississippi State for the 2010 fall semester.
