STARKVILLE, Miss. - The 2008 Cadence Bank Classic has a new weekend schedule thanks to a blast of wintry weather in the Starkville area.

Mississippi State and No. 11 Baylor will now meet in a 1:30 p.m. doubleheader Sunday and conclude the three-game set with a 1 p.m. contest Monday.

MSU baseball season ticket patrons are advised to use the Friday (Mar. 7) MSU-Baylor ticket for Sunday’s doubleheader and the Sunday (Mar. 9) ticket for the Monday game.

The series was originally scheduled to begin Friday at 4 p.m., but both the opener and Saturday’s 6 p.m. meeting were postponed and rescheduled as a Sunday doubleheader due to forecasts for inclement weather. WFCA-FM (107.9) will carry the radio broadcast of all three games, with the opening game of Sunday’s twinbill being aired on the statewide MSU Baseball Radio Network. Live video streaming of the series will also be available to subscribers of "Maroon to the Max" on the official MSU Athletics web site, MStateAthletics.com.

MSU will now play five games over a four-day span at Dudy Noble Field, following up the Baylor series with single 4 p.m. contests Tuesday and Wednesday against Mississippi Valley State.
