STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State head football coach Sylvester Croom and his Bulldog senior class officially accepted on Sunday an invitation by AutoZone Liberty Bowl Executive Director Steve Ehrhart to play Conference USA champion Central Florida in the Memphis-based bowl.

Tickets for MSU’s appearance in the 49th annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl, set for Saturday, Dec. 29, in Memphis, Tenn., will go on sale beginning Monday, Dec. 3, at 8:30 a.m. CT.  All tickets are $50 apiece, with the MSU sections placed on the East side of the stadium.

Tickets will be available to purchase through the MSU Athletic Ticket Office both online (mstateathletics.com) as well as via phone (1-888-GO-DAWGS or 1-662-325-2600) and through the Bulldog Club (1-662-325-3074).  Tickets will remain on sale through the week of Dec. 3-7, before seat assignments are made.  Tickets will be assigned to Bulldog Club members and season ticket holders in priority rank, but tickets must be ordered by Friday, Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m. to secure priority tickets.  Tickets purchased after the priority deadline will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Bulldog Club reminds donors that the most efficient way to order tickets will be online.  Tickets will be sold online through the member’s Dog Tag Account at mstateathletics.com.

The MSU Athletic Ticket Office will sell student tickets in a designated section beginning Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Bryan Building ticket office only.

In 1991, Mississippi State played Air Force in the Liberty Bowl in front of a record crowd of 61,497. Bowl game committees are increasingly concerned with ticket sales and attendance as a criteria for issuing invitations. Therefore, Bulldog fans are encouraged to order their AutoZone Liberty Bowl tickets through MSU in order to position Mississippi State for future bowl invitations.
