LAFAYETTE, La. – On the final day at the 2013 Ragin’ Cajun Classic Saturday, Mississippi State’s women’s tennis team wrapped up the tournament with an undefeated day in singles while doubles play was cut short due to weather which forced the remainder of the tournament to be cancelled.

Senior Rosie Dion completed a perfect 3-0 streak through the tournament on Saturday, claiming the title of the Boudin Draw. After claiming two victories on Friday, Dion defeated Vivien Borbely of McNeese State in a tough three-set war 6-1, 2-6, 1-0(5) for the crown.

State rookie Timea Guibe also kept up her momentum on the final day of the tournament. She notched a victory over Alexandra Starkova of Louisiana Tech 6-4, 6-4, which made the true freshman Bulldog the consolation winner in the Etouffee Draw, going 2-0 after a first-round loss on Friday.

Junior Petra Ferancova represented State in its last singles action in the Gumbo Draw Saturday. She posted an impressive 6-1, 6-0 win against Grace Nolan of UNO to claim fifth place in that draw.

Representing State in doubles action were Ferancova and Guibe in the Bread Pudding Draw. Julia Kral and Sara Castellano of McNeese State led the Bulldogs 2-1 when play was suspended due to rain and the tournament was called.
