Two Bulldogs Into Second Round At USTA Pensacola Futures

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Two Mississippi State Bulldogs advanced to second round play Friday at the USTA Futures in Pensacola, Fla.

MSU's James Chaudry easily won his first round match against Dillon Pottish in straight-sets 6-2, 6-0. State's Malte Stropp also defeated his opponent in two sets, winning against Kevin Lyons 6-1, 6-1.

In other singles play, Bulldog junior Zach White dropped his match to William Albanese 6-4, 6-2.

In Saturday's action, MSU freshmen Pedro Dumont (#1 seed), Stefan Vinti (#6 seed), Romain Bogaerts (#7 seed) and Jordan Angus will join Chaudry and Stropp in second round play of the qualifying round.
