AUBURN, Ala. - Mississippi State men's tennis produced a very impressive day at the ITA Southern Regional Championships Friday as four Bulldogs advanced to Saturday's singles quarterfinals. State also moved three doubles teams into the round of 16 at the tournament, which is a qualifying event for the ITA National Indoor Championships in early November in New York.
Main draw singles saw MSU's No. 41 and fourth-seeded James Chaudry easily defeat his two opponents to advance to the quarterfinals. Chaudry routed Tulane's Alex Van Cott 6-0, 6-0 in the third round and defeated Southern Mississippi's Andrew Goodwin 6-2, 6-0 in the round of 16.
