Athens, Ga. - Chad Ramey carried a consistent swing into Friday's second round to notch a 73 for the second-consecutive day at the Athens Regional to tie for the 44th slot with seven others.

Ramey, a sophomore at Mississippi State, posted a 2-over par at the 7,253-yard University of Georgia Golf Course, to leave the All-SEC standout at 4-over par after two rounds.

The 73 that Ramey turned in for the first two rounds is not surprising, seeing as his average for the season sits at 72.39.

For the third time at the Regional the Fulton, Miss., native will begin play at 8:50 a.m. Saturday. Ramey will tee off alongside Ryan McCarthy of Loyola-Maryland and Trey Valentine of South Florida to conclude the Athens Regional.

The top finishers at each of the six regionals will advance to the NCAA Championship hosted at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., from May 29 - June 3.
