Skilled left-hander and former (2009) Freshman All-American and All-SEC hurler who leads the MSU staff with 162 career innings pitched, 157 strikeouts, 32 pitching starts and five complete games • One of 16 current Bulldogs with SEC Academic Honor Roll status.

Took the hill for 13 starts, making his injury-delayed mound debut at Lipscomb (Mar. 16) • Compiled a 3-3 record with a 3.86 earned run average with 49 strikeouts in 56.0 innings • Made six of his nine SEC starts on Saturdays, earning wins at Tennessee (May 7) and at Ole Miss (May 13) • Tossed his second career nine-inning complete game (fifth complete game overall and MSU staff-first in 2011) in State's NCAA Atlanta Regional-clinching 7-3 win over No. 9 Georgia Tech (June 5) • Allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits with six strikeouts in the route-going gem, earning a berth on the NCAA Atlanta Regional All-Tournament Team • Also fanned six batters against Alabama (Apr. 30) and against No. 18 Arkansas (May 26) in the SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover, Ala. • Appeared in three postseason games, posting a 1-1 record and a 3.94 earned run average over a staff-high 16.0 innings • Compiled a 1.42 ERA with no decisions in five Dudy Noble Field appearances (19.0 innings) • Logged a 2-2 record with 33 strikeouts and a 3.93 ERA in nine SEC starts • Among 14 Bulldogs named to the 2011 SEC Academic Honor Roll •

Three-year letter-winner on the diamond at St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C. • Played for coach Mark Gibbs on Cadet baseball teams that posted a three-year 67-18 record • Capped his prep career earning all-conference honors in 2008 • Compiled a 4-1 mark with a 3.80 earned run average and a staff-leading 40 strikeouts in 23-2/3 innings • Honored as a 2008 Under Armour Preseason All-American following a successful 2007 summer league campaign with the Mid-Atlantic League Rookies • Posted a 4-1 mark with a 1.25 ERA pitching for coach Mike Chroniger • Fanned 56 and allowed six earned runs in 43 innings of mound duty • Played in the Cal Ripken Senior Collegiate League in 2008 for the Rockville (Md.)
