State Men's Tennis Inks Brazilian Standout
STARKVILLE, Miss. - With the 2012 fall season about to commence, the Mississippi State men's tennis squad has signed star Brazilian junior Pedro Dumont, coach Per Nilsson announced.
Dumont comes to Starkville by way of Brasilia, Brazil, and sports an impressive resume on the court. He is one of the top Brazilian players and is currently ranked 98th in the junior ranks, having climbed as high as 69th in his career.
"Pedro is an exciting addition to our team," Nilsson said. "This is the kind of environment he could really thrive in. It is going to be exciting to see him develop."
Dumont is the fourth addition to Nilsson's 2012 summer recruiting class, joining Jordan Angus, Romain Bogaert and Stefan Vinti. Among the Bulldog's signees, Dumont holds the highest ATP ranking, coming in at 1,038th.
