Played volleyball four years during her prep career at Pearland (Texas) High School and Durant High School in Plant City, Fla. • Three-year starting setter at Durant High School • Coached by Brittany Wilson • Two-time second-team all-county honoree and 2011 team captain • Recovered from a sidelining early-season back injury as a senior • Paced the 2010 DHS Cougars with a career-best 481 assists as a junior • Concluded her three-year career at Durant HS 828 assists, 257 digs, 60 aces and 58 blocks • Launched her prep career and earned her initial varsity letter as a freshman on Pearland (Texas) High School's 33-9 edition in 2008 • Coached at PHS by John Turner • Also excelled in the classroom with a career 4.0 grade point average • Eleven-year veteran of club volleyball • Competed for the Houston Juniors, coached by Vanessa Seghers, and later for the Tampa United Volleyball Academy, where she was coached by Craig Collins and earned 2011 AAU All-American honors.

Father played football at the University of Texas, was a fifth-round draft pick of the Kansas City Chiefs, and later played in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills • Majoring in wildlife, fisheries & aquaculture.
