Pitcher from the Memphis area who sat out the 2012 campaign as a freshman redshirt to refine his pitching repertoire.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Four-year regular as a pitcher and outfielder at St. George's Independent School • Coached by Andy Scott • Compiled a dandy 8-1 pitching record with an 0.95 earned run average as a senior in 2011 • Registered 84 strikeouts in 66 innings of mound duty • Named to the Tennessee Division 2A All-West Region Team and to the Memphis Commercial Appeal's Best of the Preps All-Metro Team •  Notched a 5-3 pitching record with a save and a 2.45 earned run average as a junior with the Gryphons • Recorded 60 strikeouts in 52.2 innings in 2010 • Also a four-year standout in football, earning team MVP, all-state and all-region honors • Member of the St. George's High School Honor Roll, the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.
