Preseason All-American and third-year starter in the Bulldog infield • Compiled a .344 career batting average in 102 games played (82 starts) and assisted with 61 double plays last two years • Two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection.

2012:
Lone Bulldog to start all 64 games in 2012, drawing 57 starts at shortstop and seven, including 2012 season-opener vs. Washington State (Feb. 17), at second base • Paced the team and ranked third in the SEC with a .371 batting average and 91 hits • MVP of the 2012 SEC Baseball Tournament and all-tournament team selection for both the SEC Baseball Tournament and the NCAA Tallahassee Regional • Led SEC with 227 assists, most by a Mississippi State shortstop • Raised his batting average nearly 100 points (.274 as freshman), hit safely in 53 of 64 games and registered a team-leading 30 multiple-hit games, including a career-best 4-for-5, two-double performance against Mississippi Valley State (May 8) • Drove in a career-best three runs in a 2-for-4 game against Penn State (Mar. 7) • Matched that personal-best with a 2-RBI game against Tennessee (Apr. 20) • Fashioned a career-best and team season-best 10-game hitting streak (May 12-June 1) and closed his sophomore season with hits in 11 of the final 12 games • Fielded at a .957 clip and assisted with 51 of MSU's school-record and SEC-leading 71 double plays • Hit .319 with 36 hits and a team-best .440 on-base percentage in 30 SEC starts • Hit .522 (12-for-23) with a .577 on-base percentage in six games at the SEC Tournament • Among 19 Bulldogs named to the 2012 SEC Academic Honor Roll • Member of the 2012 Baseball USA Collegiate National Team.

Four-year starting middle infielder and honorable mention Louisville Slugger High School All-American at Oconee County High School in Watkinsville, Ga. • Coached by Stan Fricks • First-team all-state and all-region selection after leading the OCHS Warriors to a 29-5 finish with a .524 batting average • Played shortstop primarily but also saw duty at second base • Paced the team with a school-record 66 hits, 39 RBI, 24 doubles and seven home runs • Team captain who recorded 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts and was named team MVP • Northeast Georgia and Region 8AAA Player of the Year • Set Georgia record with 53 career doubles • Earned all-state and all-region honors as a junior after hitting at a .510 clip with 51 hits, including a then-record 17 doubles and 20 stolen bases • Paced OCHS at the plate as a sophomore with a .447 batting average, 51 hits and 18 extra-base hits • Honorable mention all-state performer as a sophomore in 2008 and honored as the team's best hitter and Gold Glove Award winner • Three-time letter-winner in basketball, setting the school scoring record for freshmen with a 29-point game • A-B Honor Roll student and a member of the OCHS chapter the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the DECA Club • Played summer league baseball in 2010 with the Florida Bombers.
