STARKVILLE, Miss. – After months on the recruiting trail, Mississippi State volleyball coach David McFatrich has assembled his first Bulldog recruiting class, signing seven newcomers for the 2015 season, he announced Wednesday.
Starkville, Miss. – In their final action of the spring season, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will host a Maroon and White scrimmage on Wednesday, April 15, at the Newell-Grissom Building.
Jacksonville, Ala. – Taking to the court for the first competition in the David McFatrich era, the Mississippi State Bulldogs showed progress and potential in their first spring action on Saturday on the campus of Jacksonville State.
STARKVILLE, Miss. – A new era of Mississippi State volleyball begins on Saturday, as the Bulldogs will take the court for the first time under David McFatrich to open spring play at Jacksonville State.
It has been a little more than a month since the David McFatrich era began under the lights of Newell-Grissom. Since March 2, 2015, the Mississippi State volleyball program has undergone a change that has led to a new style of play, new energy and a new mindset.
As warmer weather begins to make it's presence known in Starkville, week two of spring practice is up and running for David McFatrich and his Mississippi State volleyball program. And there are no signs of slowing down for the new leader of the Maroon and White and his squad.
It has been nearly 50 days since David McFatrich was named the 11th head coach in Mississippi State volleyball history. Since Jan. 12, McFatrich has been on a whirlwind tour, adjusting to life in the Southeastern Conference. Exactly 49 days after his hire, McFatrich and the Bulldogs took to the court for the first time in 2015, as MSU officially opened spring practice on Monday.
