LUBBOCK, Texas – Ending one of the best seasons in program history, the 21st-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team (18-9) was edged by 16th-ranked host Texas Tech (25-5) 4-2 in NCAA Second Round action Saturday at TTU's McLeod Tennis Center.

Friday's match is slated for a 2 p.m. CT start at Texas Tech's McLeod Tennis Center in Lubbock.

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State women's tennis players Jasmine Lee and Georgiana Patrasc each received regional awards from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Monday for their outstanding seasons on the court in 2015-16. Lee was name the ITA Southern Region Player to Watch while Patrasc was named ITA Southern Region Most Improved Senior Player.

STARKVILLE, Miss. –Mississippi State learned Wednesday that it will be represented by two players in the 2016 NCAA Singles Championship. Junior Jasmine Lee and senior Georgiana Patrasc were at-large selections to compete May 25-30 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Bulldogs' doubles tandem of Madison Harrison and Kristina Vozniak were also named the first alternate for this year's NCAA Doubles Championship.

STARKVILLE, Miss. – After what has been one of the most successful seasons in program history, the 21st-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team learned Tuesday afternoon that it has earned a bid to the 2016 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship. The Bulldogs are headed to Lubbock, Texas, and will face 34th-ranked Virginia Tech in the first round on Friday, May 13, at TTU's McLeod Tennis Centre.

Baton Rouge, La. – In a back-and-forth affair, the seventh-seeded and 21st-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team (17-8) fell to second-seeded and fifth-ranked Vanderbilt (19-4) 4-2 in the quarterfinals of the 2016 SEC Championship Friday. The setback broke a five-match winning streak for the Bulldogs.

Baton Rouge, La. – After dropping the doubles point for the third match in a row, the 21st-ranked Mississippi State women's tennis team (17-7) also rebounded from the early deficit for the third-straight time Thursday to defeat No. 32 Arkansas (16-13) 4-1 in the second round of the 2016 SEC Championship. It was also the Bulldogs' fifth win a row (and second against UA in five days), all against SEC competition.
